Introducing the Flower Shrimp, Atyopsis moluccensis. They are also known as the Bamboo Shrimp or Waterfall Shrimp. This freshwater invertebrate can grow up to 3.5 inches long!
In April I posted on freshwater fish keepers finding inspiration by trying an aquarium setup that seems simple, but they haven't tried before. That post was specifically about setting up a Fluval Ebi Shrimp Kit and how nice of a little tank it was to set up for freshwater shrimp. Today I want to write an update to that post now that a few months have passed, and write a bit more about keeping freshwater shrimp as pets.
Patience and proper acclimation are essential. Please read and understand all steps before beginning. We strongly recommend the use of a quarantine tank for new fish. Water in the bags will naturally be high in fish waste created during transport, therefore no water from the bags should ever enter your quarantine tank or aquarium.

These wonderful attractions can be a great place to get ideas for your own home aquarium, provide educational experiences for both children and adults alike, and they can just be downright fun and amazing places to visit.
