It used to be that the “old” towels were used when drying off the family dog. You know the ones I’m talking about – towels that had seen better days and towels that probably had more in common with rags than anything else. However, those towels never did a great job at drying off my dog. I would give him a bath and try to throw a towel over him before he did that crazy “get all this water off of me!” shake that dogs are so great at doing. I would go through at least six towels trying to dry him off, and he’s a short haired dog. I don’t even remember how many towels I went through with my Chow mixes!
Then, I came across some microfiber dog towels and, my favorite microfiber dog towel, the Soggy Doggy Super Shammy. With one towel, I am able to catch my pup before he starts his “self-drying” cycle, I am able to rub him down from head to tail, and I am able to get him dry without using my hair dryer. All with one towel!
I no longer fear those rainy days when my dog will have to go out, only to come back inside, drenched. The Soggy Doggy Super Shammy takes the rain water in stride, and it also helps to soak up the dirt that my pup may have discovered while running around in the rain. I hang one in my patio and have it ready at all times. It is also great for wiping off paws on those mornings when the grass is full of dew.
If you dread giving your dog a bath due to the drying part of the process, check out the Microfiber Pet Towel and the Soggy Doggy Super Shammy dog towel. Either of these microfiber dog towels will make drying off your dog your new favorite part of doggie bath time.
